Saint Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers. His story begins as Offero, a strong man seeking adventure. He met a hermit who taught him to serve others, leading Offero to help people cross a dangerous river. One day, he carried a child across who became very heavy, revealing himself as Christ, carrying the world's weight. Offero was then named Christopher, which means "Christ-bearer," and became the protector of all travelers.
