In Norse mythology, wolves are one of the most feared creatures. Fenrir, the son of Loki, is said to have killed Odin during Ragnarok, the cataclysmic destruction of the cosmos. However, wolves are also believed to be instinctive and highly intelligent. The symbol of the wolf is often given to people to help them through difficult times.
